Oh! Gush ....the lady i admired is calling me and this traffic ,i wish i had wings and could fly and meet her. At last i could reach the destination ,i could see her angry face ,”boy”, she still look beautiful ,in her long skirt and flower studded top ,she had this habit to tugged her goggles on her head , i came near ,but she was so angry she tried to neglect me , i just want to make my self comfortable fist ,so pulled the chair and she started to wonder her eye balls rather looking at me .
I just gave the reason and she was normal , her anger was like a lava of a volcano ,but gets normal . she can chat on any dam thing ,say on politics ,languages ,music , all role in one .This was our second date ....hmmm can i called it as a date ,she enjoyed my company and my views are same like her .
One thing that came in my mind ,is she happy with her marriage or their some problem between them .The only thing i know about her husband is that he was a businessman ,she repeatedly said that ,she loved her husband .Guess , what my mind was giving one signal that she is not happy in her marriage ?”why” ......... But then i want to forget for a while that she is married , she is some one else ,one thing was on my mind her company and her beauty .I was prepared for the storm that will hit my life , but like a teenager ,”i said to myself “ who care’s ....

Its evening now , i couldn’t believe that six hours has been passed .so we went to a fast food restaurant and order some fish ,she loved eating fish ,and reason where quite obvious that ,”its good for skin “ ,so i knew the reason ,so i didn’t bother her .
I never asked her that what are your feelings for me ,as i
could be a fool to ask so ,for a moment i felt i am driving a
boat which doesn’t have any destination ,yet i have to be in it
.I thought this would be my last meeting , and i was prepared

Yalda night_شب یلدا
By Ahoo ....Iranians celebrate Dec. 21 as the longest night of the year. It is called Yalda in the Persian solar calendar during which special ceremonies are held.
On Yalda Night, families gather at the house of parents or grandparents to spend the night eating delicious foods, nuts, fruits and reading Hafez poems.
Yalda Night is a good opportunity to be with family members and friends, refresh old friendships and mend strained relations.
During Yalda Night, fruits such as watermelon and pomegranates and nuts like pistachio, almond, walnut and dried seeds are usually served.
Historicity
Also known as Shab-e Chelleh, Yalda is rooted in Iran’s history and demonstrates Iranians’ eagerness in forging strong family ties and friendly relationships.
The feast was one of the most important celebrations in ancient Iran some 5,000 years ago and continues to be celebrated to this day.
Ancient Iranians celebrated different feasts throughout the year. Sadeh, Mehregan and Tirgan are some of the feasts celebrated by Iranians.
Yalda means birth and is held 40 days before the next major Persian festival, namely Jashn-e Sadeh.
This year, Yalda Night has coincided with the lunar month of Muharram in which Shiites commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Hence, Yalda Night is expected to be held with simplicity and in a solemn manner.
Special ceremonies, which comply with the ambiance of Muharram, have been organized by different organizations for the night.
Victory Over Darkness
In most ancient cultures, including Persia, the start of the solar year has been marked to celebrate the victory of light over darkness and the renewal of the Sun.
For instance, Egyptians, since 4,000 years ago, celebrate the rebirth of the sun at this time of the year.
They set the length of their festival at 12 days to reflect the 12 divisions in their sun calendar. They make decorations using palms with 12 shoots as a symbol of the completed year, since a palm was thought to put forth a shoot each month.
The Persians adopted their annual renewal feast from the Babylonians and incorporated it into the rituals of their own Zoroastrian religion. The last day of the Persian month Azar is the longest night of the year, when the forces of evil are assumed to be at the peak of their strength. The next day, which is the first day of the month of Dey known as “Khorram-Rouz”, belongs to Ahura Mazda, the lord of wisdom.
Since subsequent days get longer and the nights shorter, this day marks the victory of sun over darkness. The occasion was celebrated as the festival of Deygan and dedicated to Ahura Mazda on the first day of the month of Dey.
Yalda Rituals
Bonfires would be burnt all night to ensure the defeat of the forces of evil. There would be feasts, acts of charity and prayers performed to ensure the total victory of sun that was essential for the protection of winter crops.
In ancient times, there would be prayers to Mithra (Mehr) and feasts in his honor, since Mithra is responsible for protecting “the light of the early morning” known as ‘Havangah’. It was also assumed that Ahura Mazda would grant people’s wishes, especially those with no offspring hoped to be blessed with children, if they performed all the rites on this occasion.
One of the themes of the feast was the temporary subversion of order. Masters and servants reversed roles. The king dressed in white would change place with ordinary people.
Grudges and quarrels were forgotten, and wars postponed. Businesses, courts and schools were closed.
Rich and poor became equal, masters served slaves and children headed the family. Cross-dressing and masquerades, merriment of all kinds prevailed.
A mock king was crowned and masquerades spilled into the streets. As the old year died, rules of ordinary living were relaxed. This tradition persisted till the Sassanid rule, and is mentioned by Biruni and others in their recordings of pre-Islamic rituals and feasts.
The Egyptian and Persian traditions merged in ancient Rome, in a festival to the ancient god of seedtime, Saturn. The Romans exchanged gifts, partied and decorated their homes with greenery.
Significance
Yalda Night is a social and cultural feast that should be preserved. The younger generation should be reminded of the benefits of such a feast and encouraged not to ignore it under any circumstances.
The recitation of verses from the Divan of Hafez lends spiritual weight to the occasion and should not be forgotten.
The Iranian Jews, who are amongst the oldest inhabitants of the country, also celebrate Illanout (Tree Festival) at around the same time, in addition to the Yalda Night rituals.
Yalda Night has become to symbolize many things in Persian poetry: separation from a beloved one, loneliness and waiting.
After the night passes, a transformation takes place: the waiting
ends, light shines and goodness prevails.
HAPPY YALDA NIGHT TO ALL PERSIANS THROUOUT THE WORLD

By Nguyen HoangPreparation 4 Paper Sheet TOEFL Test - Structure Questions Skills - Skills NO. 1
By Hazem OsrofSkill (1): Subjects and Verbs
You know that a sentence in English should have a subject and a verb. The most common types of problems that you will encounter in the Structure section of the TOEFL test are related to subjects and verbs; perhaps the sentence is missing either the subject, or the verb, or both; perhaps the sentence has an extra subject or verb.
Example I
______was ringing continuously for hours.
(A) Loudly
(B) In the morning
(C) The phone
(D) The bells
Analysis:
In this example, you should notice immediately that there is a verb, was ringing, but there is no subject. Answer (C) is the best answer because it is a singular subject that agrees with the singular verb was ringing. Answer (A), loudly, and answer (B), in the morning, are not subjects, so they are not correct. Although answer (D), bells, could be a subject, it is not correct because bells is plural and it does not agree with the singular verb was ringing.
Example II
Newspapers _______ every morning and every evening.
(A) delivery
(B) are delivered
(C) on time
(D) regularly
Analysis:
In this example, you should notice immediately that the sentence has a subject, newspapers, but that there is no verb. Because answer (B), are delivered, is a verb, it is the best answer. Answers (A), (C), and (D) are not verbs, so they are not correct.
Example III
The plane __________ landing at the airport in five minutes.
(A) it is
(B) it really is
(C) is descending
(D) will be
Analysis:
This sentence has a subject, plane, and has part of a verb, landing; to be correct, some form of the verb be is needed to make the verb complete. Answers (A) and (B) are incorrect because the sentence already has a subject, plane, and does not need the extra subject it. Answer (C) is incorrect because descending is an extra part of a verb that is unnecessary because of landing. Answer (D) is the best answer; will be together with landing is a complete verb.
Conclusion
A sentence in English must have at least one subject and one verb. The first thing you should do as you read a sentence in the Structure section of the TOEFL test is to find the subject and the verb.
EXERCISE 1
Indicate if the sentences are correct (C) or incorrect ( I ).
1. My best friend always helpful with problems.
2. Accidentally dropped the glass on the floor.
3. The professor handed the syllabus to the students
4. The basketball player tossed the ball into the hoop.
5. Walking with the children to school.
Suppose
By Ahoo ....We often use 'suppose' to mean 'imagine' or 'guess'
I suppose you'll be meeting Danielle when you go to Paris? When you weren't there, I supposed you must have been held up. I suppose you two know each other?Notice that 'suppose' is not normally used in the continuous form. We do not usually say 'I am supposing'.
- Now I suppose we'll have to do something else.
- We're waiting for John and I suppose he must be stuck in traffic.
- At this moment I suppose it doesn't matter.
Notice that for 'imagine not' or 'guess not' that we make 'suppose' negative, not the other verb.
- I don't suppose you know where Mary is?
- I don't suppose he'll do anything.
- I don't suppose you have a Nokia phone charger here?
When responding to an idea with 'suppose', you can use 'so' to avoid repeating the idea that has already been expressed.
- Is Susan coming to this meeting? ~ I suppose so.

Reported speech 2
By Ahoo ....We also use reported speech when we are saying what other people asked or wanted to know. We do not use do or question marks in indirect questions.
- "What time is it?" = He asked me what time it was.
- "Why hasn't he come? = She wondered why he hadn't come.
- "When will you be arriving?" = He wanted to know when we would be arriving.
- "What were you doing?" = They questioned him about what he had been doing.
We use the same structure when we report answers.
- "147 Oak Street." = I told him what my address was.
- "I didn't have time to do it." = She explained why she hadn't done it.
- "Look at this dress and bag." = She showed me what she had bought.
- "Put the paper here and press this button." = He demonstrated how the scanner worked.
Yes/no questions are reported with if or whether.
- Do you want a ride? = Mike asked me if I wanted a ride.
- Are you coming? = They wanted to know if I was coming.
- Will you be here later? = She asked me whether I would be here later
